Biography
Ramachandran S. Vasan, MD, DM, NHLBI's Framingham Heart Study and Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Vasan is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine, and Co-Director of the Echocardiography and Walk test laboratories at the Framingham Heart Study. His research interests include echocardiography, heart failure, hypertension and biomarkers of ventricular remodeling. Dr. Vasan is involved in several studies focusing on cardiovascular diseases and hypertension in developing countries, and is a volunteer for ProCOR, an organization promoting the dissemination of cardiovascular disease information in developing countries.
