The file title contains whether it was a swimmer [s] or non-swimmer [n], the duration of the
swim
[or in the case of the non-swimmers, the timepoint closest to it's age], and the number of the
mouse
whose heart was used. MAS5.0 files have a -m5 a the end to indicate microarray suite 5.0 and use
a
target intensity of 500. MAS4.0 files have a -m4 at the end and use a target intensity of
1500. These
intensities are recommended by Affymetrix.
Zip files can be unzipped using
freely available tools such as WinZip(PC)
or Expander(Mac).
